NAPA Auto Parts HOT AUGUST NIGHTS Event Results
History was made last night at Spokane County Raceway during the NAPA Auto Parts HOT AUGUST NIGHTS event, as Jet Car drivers Barry Richter in the Darin Bay owned Warped Speed Jet and Scott Arriaga in Al Arriaga's Blue Bayoo Jet ran 5.29, 306.05mph vs 5.32, 300.93 mph respectively to the cheers of the thousands of fans in attendance. The West Coast Pro Mod Association wrapped up their 2010 season as well as Calgary, Alberta's Joe Delahay took the win in his beautiful '68 Camaro over Dan Vogt, from Regina, Sask in his stunning '63 Corvette. Delehay dominated as he was #1 Qualifier of the event with a 6.22 and also set top speed of the event with a stout 230.10 mph. Delahay posted a 6.58, 228.61 over Vogt's respectable 6.75, 209.46 to take the win. This was also the final points event of the NHRA Summit Series, with over 100 sportsman racers competing for a chance to represent Spokane County Raceway at the Summit Racing Equipment Finals being held next weekend at Mission Raceway Park in Mission, BC.
